Ice Maker Sensor Abnormal — Ice maker sensor short or open. Display shows error if ice maker sensor error occurs within 30 minutes after power on.

How to Fix

Check CON1 connector (pins 15~22) between Main PCB and ice maker sensor for loose or disconnected condition.

If connector is loose/disconnected, reconnect or repair the connector.

Measure ice maker sensor resistance at CON1 pins 15~22: 0 ohm = short (replace sensor), Open/infinity = open (replace sensor).

Compare measured resistance to temperature chart: -30°C=40k, -25°C=30k, -20°C=23k, -15°C=17k, -10°C=13k, -5°C=10k, 0°C=8k ohms.

If resistance is normal, explain to customer.

If sensor is verified good but error persists, replace the Main PCB.
